Bernstein piano works on DGG
Katie has been invited to record the solo piano works of Leonard Bernstein for release next year by Deutsche Grammophon as part of a set of complete works in honor of Bernstein’s 100th anniversary. The recording will take place at the end of November in Berlin.

New LP released!
Katie’s new Direct-to-Disc LP was just released on the German label BerlinerMeisterSchallplatten! The all-Gershwin recording includes Rhapsody in Blue, Three Preludes, and three songs. Katie recorded the program live in the Meistersaal in Berlin in December 2016. Direct-to-Disc recordings are unique in that they are completely live performances, featuring no editing whatsoever, preserved on vinyl. Released July 2017.
Russian Debut in Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory
On June 5th, Katie gave her Russian debut with orchestra in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with Maestro Mark Mandarano and the Orchestra of the Ministry of Defense before a sell-out audience! The concert was part of a three week tour of Russia in honor of the 80th anniversary of George Gershwin’s death.
Gershwin tour in Russia!
During the month of June, Katie will be on tour in Russia for a series of six concerts as part of a Gershwin Festival remembering the 80th anniversary of the composer’s death. Highlights will include Katie’s Russian debut with orchestra in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and a performance at the Platonov Festival in Voronezh, along with performances in Kaliningrad, Ryazan, and Vladimir, and a gala performance at the Spaso House in Moscow.
Katie has just recorded two new albums at the Jesus-Christus-Kirche in Berlin, a venue made famous by the late Herbert von Karajan who made numerous recordings there including a cycle of Beethoven symphonies. Katie’s new recordings will include an all-Gershwin album, and a program of Mozart and Liszt. The recordings were made by Rainer Maillard (Emil Berliner Studios) and will be released later this year. On tour in Germany!
During the month of April, Katie will be on tour in Germany. Her program will include works of Mozart, Beethoven, and Gershwin.
